I have to admit that I have been losing interest in R-factor afterall...
So, what have I been doing these while? Nothing much to do with graphics, but rather computer hardware. I kinda sort of give up on making digital art for now.. not sure when i'll get back to it.
After staying for 2 years with my slow old pentium4 computer, i have decided to upgrade it to a Much Better computer. Kinda fast, but not a very Badass machine. If you are reading this cuz u think I am back, or just for some other reason.. sorry to disappoint.
Anyway, Better Computer = Better 3D rendering power.
Here are the specs: (skip if you are not interested, cuz Geek babble below)
- Intel Q6600 QuadCore at 3.45 Ghz, overclocked
- DFI bloodiron P35 motherboard
- WD Raptor 10,00rpm 74Gb AFHD
- Zalman, CNPS 9500 cooler
- 2x 1Gb DDr2 1066 Kingston HyperX ram
- 2x Thermalright HR-07 ram cooler
- XpertVision Nvidia 8600GTS
- Creative Fatality Pro soundcard
- OCZ, Stealthstream Power Supply 500W
If you overclock, you can check out the settings i used below:
Basically, it is more for Blender 3D rendering, so I don't need a extreme high power Graphic Card. Graphic cards are more for gaming and stuff which i don't usually do. The machine is very stable, despite high overclock 3.45Ghz from 2.4Ghz. It is not the best money can buy, but at least it cost me a cheap price. 1500 bucks for that is quite a good buy.
