Blender 3d: Fluid Simulation
Monday, January 26, 2009
Recently, I have the thought of trying some fluid simulation in Blender 3d. Somehow I have gotten bored of modeling and materials. So, I went on a little research trip to learn more about it.
Youtube has plenty of videos about the blender fluid simulation tool. Some of them are really way too cool for a free software like Blender. Seriously, I think that the developers have done a splendid job.

Other cool videos (I filtered out the ones not so good):
Usage in physics - Fluid Pressure Test
Realistic example - Water Poured Into A Cup
As for the tutorials, I have a little hard time trying to find one, as many are in books or in broken links. Those youtube video links just overcrowded the search results.
Anyway, here is a comprehensive one: http://ci-blender.deviantart.com/art/Blender-Fluid-Sim-Basics-27479896
Its quite simple, really. Easier than modeling a computer casing. Probably, thats why youtube is flooded with all sort of blender fluid sim videos.
